Stephen is a former partner of Linklaters LLP and Ashurst LLP, leading their capital markets practices in London and Milan, respectively. Clients included many leading banks and investment banks, and he was a leading regulatory capital lawyer. He is currently a trustee of Encompass Dorset (providing housing to, and making a difference in the lives of, individuals with learning disabilities), Chair of Wells Cathedral Trust and a former chair of governors of King’s Bruton School and governor of  a number of independent as well as state schools.
