Jonathan Halsey

Jonathan has a Master’s Degree in Accounting Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Young practicing as a CPA in Chicago and the Cayman Islands. He is a past member of the AICPA and CISPA. Jonathan also has an Honours Degree in English Literature from the University of York and was educated at Winchester College. He was the compliance manager for Henderson Investors and Compliance Officer for EFG Private Bank before joining Old Mutual Asset Managers in 1994 where he spent 7 years as Head of Compliance, responsible for both the institutional and retail aspects of the business. More recently he has been an expert witness and a compliance consultant to a number of multi-jurisdictional firms in the asset and fund management space. Jonathan is widely recognized in the securities industry as founder and editor of the Compliance Exchange website, an educational resource for academics and practitioners in compliance, risk and governance. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
